Here is an example of why hiring illegal aliens is not economically productive for the State of California…

You have 2 families…”Joe Legal” and “Jose Illegal”. Both families have 2 parents, 2 children and live in California.

“Joe Legal” works in construction, has a Social Security Number, and makes $25.00 per hour with payroll taxes deducted….”Jose Illegal” also works in construction, has “NO” Social Security Number, and gets paid $15.00 cash “under the table”.

Joe Legal…$25.00 per hour x 40 hours $1000.00 per week, $52,000 per year

Now take 30% away for state federal tax

Joe Legal now has $31,231.00

Jose Illegal…$15.00 per hour x 40 hours $600.00 per week, $31,200.00 per year

Jose Illegal pays no taxes…

Jose Illegal now has $31,200.00

Joe Legal pays Medical and Dental Insurance with limited coverage

$1000.00 per month

$12,000.00 per year

Joe Legal now has $19,231.00

Jose Illegal has full Medical and Dental coverage through the state and local clinics at a cost of $0.00 per year

Jose Illegal still has $31,200.00

Joe Legal makes too much money is not eligible for Food Stamps or welfare

Joe Legal pays for food

$1,000.00 per month

$12,000.00 per year

Joe Legal now has $ 7,231.00

Jose Illegal has no documented income and is eligible for Food Stamps and Welfare

Jose Illegal still has $31,200.00

 Joe Legal pays rent of

$1,000.00 per month

$12,000.00 per year

Joe Legal is now in the hole

minus (-) $4,769.00

Jose Illegal receives a $500 per month Federal rent subsidy

Jose Illegal pays rent

$500.00 per month

$6,000.00 per year

Jose Illegal still has $25,200.00

Joe Legal now works overtime on Saturdays or gets a part time job after work.

Jose Illegal has nights and weekends off to enjoy with his family.

Joe Legal’s and Jose Illegal’s children both attend the same school. Joe Legal pays for his children’s lunches while Jose Illegal’s children get a government sponsored lunch.

Jose Illegal’s children have an after school ESL program. Joe Legal’s children go home.

Joe Legal and Jose Illegal both enjoy the same Police and Fire Services, but Joe paid for them and Jose did not pay.

G.I. JOE, FROM A REAL AMERICAN HERO TO GLOBAL ZERO!

You have to ask yourself what this world is coming too and exactly how does  Hollyweird turn people into spineless, politically correct, American apoligist liberals?  I’m guessing there is something in the water there.

This weekend GI Joe The Rise of Cobra opens in theatres.  When I was a kid the greatest toys you could possibly have had said in big letters on them “A Real American Hero!”  It was the post Vietnam 80’s and Ronald Reagan had made America proud of its military forces!  All of the G.I. Joe toys and cartoons were unabashedly patriotic.

As an adult I was kind of excited (in a really geeky kind of way) about the release of movie and thought that this might be a great opportunity for Hollywood to make a movie that gives American Soldiers the respect they deserve.  I should have known better!

The new movie is GI JOE not G.I. Joe.  The “G.I.” has always been a military term that stood for General Infantry.  General Infantry has been replaced with something totally different!  It seems that nothing is sacred to the Hollyweird liberals!

GI JOE now is an acronym for Global Integrated Joint Operated Entity.   Why?  Why change it?  Because,  in the liberal land of Hollyweird, a Real American Hero is just unacceptable. Nope, it’s gotta be a global zero. GI JOE is about a global operation, not an American one.

Paramount’s studio’s live-action feature film version of G.I. Joe will no longer revolve around a top-secret U.S. special forces team but rather an international operation. Variety magazzine says: “G.I. Joe is now a Brussels-based outfit, an international co-ed force of operatives who use hi-tech equipment to battle Cobra, an evil organization headed by a double-crossing Scottish arms dealer.

So why the changes?  Hasbro and Paramount execs recently spoke about the challenges of marketing a film about the U.S. military at a time when the current U.S. president and apologist in chief is on a world wide American apology tour!

In short, when a studio makes a film as expensive as G.I. Joe will likely be, they want to know that as many people as possible around the world will want to see it.  In other words, G.I. Joe has traded  “Real American Hero” status to become “A Global Zero!”

In Hollyweird  nothing patriotic or American is worth preserving.   They don’t make movies like they did during WWII, in which America, the military, and our soldiers were portrayed as the strong patriotic heroes that they are.  Instead today’s movies constantly tell the viewer that Uncle Sam is a bad guy, our soldiers are morally corrupt  and war is “always” wrong.

They could be supportive and make movies that showed America, our troops, and their mission in a positive light. But that would go against the liberal agenda.

Where is the movie for all of us who are proud of our soldiers?

OBMAMA: Not Ready For Prime Time Player

gatesHave you seen the photo of Henry Louis Gates Jr. taken by a neighbor?  Gates of course is the director of Harvard University’s W.E.B. Dubois Institute for African and African American Research.  He was arrested at his home in Cambridge, Mass. Police say they were called to the home of Gates after a woman reported seeing a man try to pry open the front door.  As we all know, it turned out to be him breaking into his own house because he had lost his keys. President Obama was asked about it during the press conference on Wednesday night and he said the police acted stupidly…. You know we worried about how experienced this man was before he became president and Obama showed he’s a not a ready for prime time player.

Maybe it is me, but if I were trying to sell the nation on a plan to take over a $2.4 trillion a year healthcare system, I would have avoided getting into a he said/he said battle between Police Sgt. James Crowley and Professor Gates — or Skip, as the president calls him.

President Obama ended his fourth prime-time press conference in his first 6 months by saying, in answer to a question from his hometown reporter Lynn Sweet:

“I don’t know, not having been there and not seeing all the facts, what role race played in that [Gates case]. But I think it’s fair to say, number one, any of us would be pretty angry; number two, that the Cambridge police acted stupidly in arresting somebody when there was already proof that they were in their own home; and, number three, what I think we know separate and apart from this incident is that there’s a long history in this country of African-Americans and Latinos being stopped by law enforcement disproportionately. That’s just a fact.”

Ok follow me here…The Man is The President of The United States of America, should he be commenting on an incident, as he said, not being there and not knowing all of the facts?  Who does that?  Who makes a comment accusing an officer and police department of being stupid and suggests that it was racially motivated, without knowing the facts?  Does this sound like a President of the United States?  It doesn’t!….Bill Cosby sounded more like an American President than Barrack Obama when he said on a Boston radio station this week:  “This is a road we need not go down.”

What was pitched to the media as a six month report card on his job performance really was a press conference on healthcare.  President Obama wanted to turn big public opposition to his plan and get the message out on health care.

Way to shout down your own message, Mr. President.

For his part, Sgt. Crowley defended himself but did not knock the President.

Where did this question during the press conference come from?  Someone broke the rule and asked a non-healthcare question! That person was Lynn Sweet, a very savvy Chicago political reporter who knows Obama’s sensitivities from his Illinois state Senate days when he worked on racial profiling issues, asked the president, seemingly strangely, about a recent disorderly conduct arrest in Cambridge, Mass. On the surface that issue would not seem to merit attention as one of only 11 questions at a nationally-televised White House news conference with the president of the United States.

However, as Sweet well knew, the arrestee was black…a  respected academic. Also — here’s the key — a friend of Obama’s. The officer was white. It was late at night. Apparently a neighbor saw someone in a T-shirt breaking into a nearby home. It happened to be the key-less owner himself, but who knew then?

A softball that Obama swung at and hit into foul territory.

Let’s see, Sarah Palin… Joe the Plumber… clinging to guns… clinging to religion… now, Sgt. Crowley.

Is it just me, or is there a pattern here?

Then again, Barack Obama spent 3 years in Cambridge when he was in law school, so maybe he knows something I don’t. But, speaking of acting stupidly, wading into this controversy was not a very brilliant move.

Finally on Friday, President Obama apologized.  Did you notice how reluctant it was?  The political heat became too hot!  No one was talking about healthcare.  Everyone was talking about a decorated police officer from Cambridge who was doing his job and following protocol yet, the President Of The United States Of America called him Stupid…

It’s not that stupid is a harsh word or that stupid is dramatically hurtful.  It’s that this is the President of The United States calling one of America’s finest Stupid!  My liberal friends loved to use the words “Bush League”, when W made a gaffe or did not speak well…this is so far beyond “Bush League,” it’s off the charts bad!

I cannot believe that there is not more outrage over the President calling one of America’s finest…Stupid.

A beer at the Whitehouse will now apparently fix the whole problem.  If I were Sgt. Crowley I would’ve said;  “Apology accepted, however on the invite…thanks, but no thanks!”
