0bamaOn January 20th, President Barack Obamatook the oath of office. He used some words in his Inaugural speech that I thought were strange but didn’t make any connection.

I’ve heard politicians use the phrases “rebuild” and “reshape.” but I had never heard anyone say they were going to remake something… especially the idea of remaking America. The President said, We will remake America.

It should have set off sirens in my head but, it didn’t. I remember just thinking that it was an odd choice of words…maybe his teleprompter, TOTUS, came up with it. As it turns out, It wasn’t an odd choice of words…he meant what he said.

Since January 20th, I have watched the President deliver on his promise. I have watched him remake America into something that I don’t recognize and Thomas Jefferson and our forefathers are definitely spinning in there graves.

T.E.A. Party Patriots in Vermont and All over the U.S. are doing there best to put the breaks on the BIG Government, and the Socialistic experiment that the Progressive American Political movement is pushing.

To understand the President’s motives you must understand the phrase “remaking America” and where it comes from.

“Remaking America,” is a researched, focus grouped phrase like many of Barack Obama’s other phrases that come directly from liberal progressive operatives.

To understand what Barrack Obama means when  he says he’s going to remake and transform America, we really need to go back to FDR’s Second Bill Of Rights.

Not a lot of people know about the Second Bill of Rights.  The Second Bill of Rights was a proposal made by FDR in his State of the Union Address on January 11, 1944 .  He argued that the Second Bill of Rights was to be implemented politically, not by federal judges. Roosevelt’s stated justification was that the “political rights” guaranteed by the Constitution and the Bill of Rights had “proved inadequate to assure us equality in the pursuit of happiness.”
Roosevelt’s remedy was to create an “Economic Bill Of Rights” which would guarantee:

• A job with a living wage
• Freedom from unfair competition and monopolies
• A Home
• Medical care
• Education
• Recreation

I’d like to share with you an excerpt from the address. FDR said;

“It is our duty now to begin to lay the plans and determine the strategy for the winning of a lasting peace and the establishment of an American standard of living higher than ever before known. We cannot be content, no matter how high that general standard of living may be, if some fraction of our people—whether it be one-third or one-fifth or one-tenth—is ill-fed, ill-clothed, ill-housed, and insecure.

This Republic had its beginning, and grew to its present strength, under the protection of certain inalienable political rights—among them the right of free speech, free press, free worship, trial by jury, freedom from unreasonable searches and seizures. They were our rights to life and liberty.

As our nation has grown in size and stature, however—as our industrial economy expanded—these political rights proved inadequate to assure us equality in the pursuit of happiness.
We have come to a clear realization of the fact that true individual freedom cannot exist without economic security and independence. “Necessitous men are not free men.” People who are hungry and out of a job are the stuff of which dictatorships are made.

In our day these economic truths have become accepted as self-evident. We have accepted, so to speak, a second Bill of Rights under which a new basis of security and prosperity can be established for all—regardless of station, race, or creed. Among these are:

The right to a useful and remunerative job in the industries or shops or farms or mines of the nation;
The right to earn enough to provide adequate food and clothing and recreation;
The right of every farmer to raise and sell his products at a return which will give him and his family a decent living;
The right of every businessman, large and small, to trade in an atmosphere of freedom from unfair competition and domination by monopolies at home or abroad;
The right of every family to a decent home;
The right to adequate medical care and the opportunity to achieve and enjoy good health;
The right to adequate protection from the economic fears of old age, sickness, accident, and unemployment;
The right to a good education.

All of these rights spell security. And after this war is won we must be prepared to move forward, in the implementation of these rights, to new goals of human happiness and well-being.
America’s own rightful place in the world depends in large part upon how fully these and similar rights have been carried into practice for our citizens.”

Now here’s where we find out just how bad this was for America. The American Communist Party was running a candidate against FDR. But when FDR started implementing his policies…they became politically inactive. They stopped putting people up against FDR.

Leaders of the ACP were getting there agenda passed! “We don’t need to run, with everything that FDR is doing,” said officials. They didn’t want to run any opposing candidate because, they didn’t want to hurt FDR. He was doing exactly what they had hoped for!

Progressives move in baby steps, that’s why the current debate on socialized healthcare is so dangerous! The President tells you that you will be able to keep your own private healthcare insurance. All while legislating the private healthcare companies out of business. Baby steps…let’s create the model first and gradually over time make privatized healthcare obsolete or illegal.

Baby steps to bigger government, less freedom and liberty. The things that Americans were contemplating in FDR’s time sound amazingly like today!

America is being, as Barack Obama said in his inauguration speech, REMADE.  He didn’t say we were going to rebuild it. He said we are going to remake it, And that is exactly what he is doing. He is remaking America.

What will the land of the free and the home of the brave look like when he is done with this social experiment? Will we be Socialist? Communist?

There is a difference. Communism is enforced by the barrel of a gun. When Americans finally wake up, when people rise up, when our economy can’t take any more, will the US government use the barrel of a gun?

I know your thinking TJ, This is crazy! Those who think so do not understand the precious gift that liberty and freedom are and how quickly they can evaporate with the stroke of a politician’s pen in Washington! We are sliding down a slippery slope!
